Swollen Testicles  

Swollen testicles – My left ball is inflamed what has caused this? Why am I seeing discharge come from penis? My bum and willy, is itchy, why? Could it be because I sweat a lot is the reason for the genital smell around my privates. All the conditions above are nothing to be ashamed about, and neither worried about if some of those mentioned are caused by personal injury.

Nevertheless we are here to address the issue of swollen testicles/balls.  

If a man spots he has swollen testicles he tends to panic and fears the worst. Remember not all conditions and disease is linked with prostate cancer, testicle cancer, or any other cancer in saying that. There can be many reasons for testicle pain and odd goings on around the penis, scrotum and anus, other than it being caused by cancer 

  Some causes linked with swollen testicles are Hydrocele, Varicocele, and Cysts. 

Normally swelling is a result of the build up of harmless fluids. Swollen testicles on the other hand can also be a sign of testicular cancer. Once again not a point to be getting all worked up. 

Hydrocele is a regular reason for swollen testicles, and especially more so in newborn babies and the elderly. Nonetheless most age groups can get this. 

Hey lads I cannot emphasise enough that it is important you seek medical attention if you notice any abnormalities connected to the genitals. This is your manhood we are speaking about here, and it needs looking after. If you ain’t got your tackle then it’s like fishing without a rod. Look after the penis and surrounding areas. Do this and you and you’re partner might be lucky enough to avoid those all time serious complications that can happen in any relationship. 

Hydrocele is normally determined if fluids mass between the two membranes that cover the testicles. One or both testicles can swell. Swelling can increase gradually over the weeks and months. 

It’s the swelling with Hydrocele that is more of the problem, as it is not known for pain. Testicular cysts, commonly referred to as spermatocele, are fluid-filled cysts that develop on the epididymis. Spermatocele contain sperm and normally display on the top section of the epdidymis. Also normally a painless condition 

Varicocele happens duly because of the blood flow inside the spermatic cord veins becoming thwarted – and the outcome a swollen scrotum. When the man stands erect, the swollen veins inside the scrotum has been explained as feeling like a "bag of worms."  Scrotum swelling is less likely noticeable when the man is lying flat on his back. 

Whatever the problem is you have, have your doctor examine you to rule out testicular cancer  .  Swollen testicles and swollen scrotum have been recognized as a symptom of testicular cancer. 

Symptoms to be wary about, although not always linked with testicular cancer 

Lumps irregularity or swelling in one testicle. 

A pulling straining sensation or odd heaviness in the scrotum 

A dull throb or ache in the groin/lower abdomen 

Spasms of pain in the testicle or scrotum every now and again 

Tenderness or enlargement of tissue around the breast 

Go and see your GP. A physical examination may be carried out in the surgery. It may be suggested you see an urologist - doctor specializing in the urinary organ. An ultrasound scan might be recommended for a closer examination of the testicles.
