Anorexia is a common
eating disorder which we connect to young
girls around the onset of puberty,
however in saying that it is also a
condition which can affect anyone, male
or female.
Weight loss in an
anorexic is usually 15% below their normal
body weight. Some common purposes used by
a sufferer of the condition to lose weight
is to break into exercise, increase
consumption of laxatives and last but not
least the main one we all know of
connected to anorexia is, not
eating.
Avoid Temptation of
Anorexia Ways & Choose The Safe Fat Loss
Diet
Anorexics
have an intense fear of becoming fat and
because of this choose to abstain from
eating food. This is a serious disease
indeed where death has been known to
occur. People with anorexia continue to
think they are overweight even after they
become extremely thin, or are very ill or
near death. Anorexics more times than not
develop odd behaviours surrounding their
eating habits, like refusing to eat in
front of other people. Although a
person suffering from anorexia will do
their best to avoid food – does not mean
they can not handle it in the way of
preparing vegetables and
cooking.
Be prepared for denial,
resistance, and even anger if you
approach maybe a teen or member of the
family who you believe may have this
eating disorder.
There are several
symptoms for
anorexia
Missing periods.
Not wanting or
refusing to eat in public
Depression
Weakness
Delicate
skin
Breathlessness
Compulsive calorie
watching
Shrunken bones,
mineral loss, and low body temperature,
irregular heartbeat, permanent failure of
normal growth, development of osteoporosis and
the eating disorder called bulima nervosa are
all health hazards that can happen to some one
suffering from anorexia.
If you know of or
believe that someone has a problem with eating
or not eating should I say, then they must seek
medical help right away. Anorexia is a
condition that needs to be treated with the
proper medication or therapy. Dietary plans are
one method of treatment for anorexia that is
successfully helping people to recover. However
there are no known overnight cures so it will
take time to heal the cause behind anorexic
behaviours.
Eating disorders
like anorexia and bulima are different so it is
important that you visit your doctor so he/she
can determine which illness you are affected
by. This is important so that the appropriate
medicines are prescribed.
Skinny is
unhealthy so please before embarking on a diet
of nothing you must speak to your doctor or
dietician.
Never go under the
advice from any other source than that of your
doctor or nurse. Medical advice should only
come from medical experts.
